রাজ্যে ভোট-পরবর্তী সন্ত্রাস মামলার তদন্তে কোমর বেঁধে নামছে সিবিআই (CBI)। হাইকোর্টের নির্দেশমতো মামলাগুলির তদন্তে তৈরি এসআইটি-তে (SIT) থাকবেন সিবিআইয়ের ১০৯ জন অফিসার। চারটি দলে ভাগ হয়ে তাঁরা প্রত্যক্ষভাবে গুরুতর অভিযোগে রুজু হওয়া মামলাগুলির তদন্ত করবেন। তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়ার গতিপ্রকৃতি নজরে রেখে তা সঠিক অভিমুখে পরিচালনা করবেন। চারজন জয়েন্ট ডিরেক্টরের নেতৃত্বাধীন পদস্থ গোয়েন্দা কর্তারা। প্রথম পর্যায় দৈনন্দিন তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়া চালানোর জন্য তৈরি হয়েছে একাধিক অ্যাডিশনাল এসপি (SP) ও ডিএসপি-র (DSP) নেতৃত্বে সাব ইন্সপেক্টর (SI) পদমর্যাদা পর্যন্ত অফিসারদের চারটি তদন্তকারী দল।
