মৃত্যুপুরী আফগানিস্তান (Afghanistan) থেকে গতকালই দেশে ফিরেছেন বাঙালি অধ্যাপক। লেক ভিউ রোডের বাসিন্দা সর্বজিৎ মুখোপাধ্যায়, কাবুলের এক বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অধ্যাপক। গত ২ বছর ধরে, কাবুলের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্কের অধ্যাপক হিসাবে নিযুক্ত ছিলেন। বাঙালি অধ্যাপকের দাবি, আফগানিস্তানের পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে সকলের মনেই ভয় কাজ করছে। তালিবান-নৃশংসতার প্রমাণ এবার অন্তত তাঁরা পাননি। তাঁর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আজ অনলাইন পরীক্ষা চলছে বলে জানান কাবুলের বাঙালি অধ্যাপক। পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক হলে ফের আফগানিস্তানে ফিরতে চান, জানিয়েছেন সর্বজিৎ। প্রসঙ্গত, তিনি তাঁর চোখের সামনে ধীরে ধীরে বদলে যেতে দেখেছেন আফগানিস্তানের পরিস্থিতি। তালিবানের আফগান দখল, দেশ ছেড়ে পালানোর জন্য আপ্রাণ আকুতি আফগান নাগরিকদের। বিমানের চাকা আঁকড়ে ধরে পালানোর চেষ্টা, আর তার মর্মান্তিক পরিণতি, অসহায় মা-বাবা, সন্তানের প্রাণ বাঁচাতে একরত্তিকে তুলে দিচ্ছে মার্কিন সেনাবাহিনীর হাতে, এই যখন কাবুলের পরিস্থিতি, তখনই ত্রাসের দেশ থেকে ফিরে এসেছেন, বাঙালি অধ্যাপক। আফগানিস্থান থেকে নতুন করে, দোহা হয়ে দেশে ফিরেছেন ১৪৬ জন ভারতীয়। সূত্রের খবর, আরও ৪৬ জন আফগান হিন্দু এবং শিখকে উদ্ধার করে আনা হয়েছে কাবুল বিমানবন্দরে। বায়ুসেনার বিমানে শীঘ্রই তাঁদের দেশে ফেরানো হবে।
